Abstract
The method involves using a linked measuring roller (3) with individual measurement zones (4) over which a metal strip (1) is moved in a direction perpendicular (2) to the roller. Measurement values are delivered from the measurement zones and corrected depending on the deviations for the measurement values of respective adjacent measurement zones in the sense of a redn. of these deviations.The deviations are determined across a number of successive timely successive measurement valve detections.
