Abstract

The present invention relates to a fragile goods packaging means, and to a method of manufacturing the packaging means. The packaging means is comprised of a packing piece having a configuration adapted to the contours of the goods to be protected. The packing piece includes a base part and a side part which is integral with the base part and extends generally at right angles thereto. The packaging means is characterized by at least two packing piece sub-units (2, 12, 22), each constructed from a flat paperboard blank, preferably a corrugated paperboard blank. The two blanks are placed on top of one another and folded to form the respective base parts (4, 14, 24) and side parts (6, 16, 26, 27) integral therewith.
