Abstract

The invention relates to an electric plug assembly (1) comprising a main plug-part (2), electric plug-contacts (3, 3a) which project from the main plug-part, and a connecting lead (4) fixedly connected to the main plug-part. The main plug-part encloses a mechanism (10) which can be actuated by pulling on the lead, so as to separate the plug contact from corresponding electric socket contacts. The plug assembly includes a lever-arm arrangement which is disposed outside the main plug-part (2) and which can be rotated in relation to the main plug-part about a rotational axis (10') extending parallel with a centre line allocated to the plug contacts. The lever-arm of the lever-arm arrangement is also pivotal about a pivot axle (13) which extends perpendicular to centre lines allocated to the plug contacts. When in a locking position, the lever-arm (10d) of the lever-arm arrangement is positioned so that a centre line (10d') allocated to the lever arm will coincide with, or at least will coincide essentially with the rotational axis (10'). The lever-arm (10d) carries a lead-clamping means (11) located laterally of the aforementioned centre line.
