Abstract

The core part incorporates ATM inputs with 2.5 Gbit/s, a component processor board for control, monitoring and transformation of information arriving on the inputs in an outgoing cell flow and a signal channel for sending control and choice information upwards in the network. The access part contains individual line circuit boards which offer inputs with 34 Mbit/s. The access module has a part with 16 line circuit boards each with 16 inputs with 34 Mbit/s and the core part has four input boards each with an input with 2.5 Gbit/s, a bus board, a processor and clock board and a signalling interface board. Alternatively the 16 line circuit boards can each have four inputs with 155 Mbit/s. The line circuit boards and the input boards are interchangeable.
