Abstract

Spectrophotometric equipment comprising a light source (1) arranged in front of a cuvette (2) and a detector (3) arranged behind said cuvette (2). The detector (3) measures absorption of light, emitted from the light source (1), in a sample material (4) charged in the cuvette (2), whereby the light or a portion of the light passes through a front wall (5) of the cuvette (2), the sample material (4) and a rear wall (6) of the cuvette prior to measurement in the detector (3). The equipment is characterised in that the front wall (5) and/or the rear wall (6) of the cuvette (2) forms an oblique angle in relation to the optical axis (7) of the emitted light.
