Abstract

The invention relates to the process for the preparation of peptide trisulfides by adding N,N'-thiobisphthalimide (TBPI) to peptides containing sulfhydryl groups in a solvent comprising acetonitrile and water and it also relates to the use of acetonitrile in water as solvent together with TBPI when preparing peptide trisulfides from peptides containing sulfhydryl groups.
