Abstract

A system for radio controlling at least one switching means, which comprises on the receiver side a receiver (24) which functions to perform a switching service in relation to switching means connected to the receiver (24) in response to the receipt of a code pattern specific to the receiver and in response to a code pattern specific to the switching service and received simultaneously with the receiver-specific code pattern. The system includes on the transmitter side a control unit (16) which functions to deliver the receiver-specific code pattern and the switching-service specific code pattern simultaneously to a radio transmitter (22) in response to control information received from a keypad telephone (10, 12, 14) and keyed-in by a subscriber to the switching service, wherein the code patterns are transmitted to the receiver (24) at times determined by the control information.
