Abstract
The appts. includes a floating body (7) with a lifting force so low that the fluid viscosity resistance damps the floating body rising speed. A further floating body (13) is continuously located on or against the fluid surface (4). The time taken to run down the whole adhesive fluid volume (delta V) on the measurement tube (1) inner wall (6) entirely or nearly coincides with the time taken for the floating body to rise up to the fluid surface, or to the further floating body. - A location of the floating body against either the fluid surface or the further floating body is obtained either visually or opto-electrically. The location indicates whether a reading can take place without measurement fault as a result of the persistently adhered measurement fluid on the measurement tube inner wall.
