Abstract

Method for fixing a rain shield 11 at the top end of a chimney 1 constructed from block elements 2 provided with reinforcement holes 5 above a smoke stack 3 by means of carrier bars 9 that can be fixed in the chimney. In order to facilitate fixing of the rain shield the carrier bars are anchored in the reinforcement holes in the top block elements of the chimney and fixed at opposite ends to the rain shield. A carrier bar developed for application of the method has gripper elements 14 at one end for anchoring in the reinforcement holes of the block element and fixing elements 13 at the opposite end for fixing the rain shield. <IMAGE>
