Abstract

The local area definition information is transmittable to the respective stations in the cellular broadcast radio system for imparting geographical block division of traffic information within the corresp. area (3a,4a,5a,6a). The cells in the system are arranged with a number of sub-cells (3,4,5,6), their locations and sizes being covered in the local area definition information. The local area definition even points out which part of the information from the transmitter in the broadcast ratio system is relevant for the respective sub-cell, which part is attributable to at least a major part, and the pref. all the radio beacons in the respective sub-cells. First information is valid for a first group of radio beacons, second information for a second group and so on, the respective radio beacon positions being known in the system.
