Abstract
The flame front passge through the selected measurement points is recorded contact-free with fibre-optic indicators (7,8) arranged in the combustion chamber which via optic fibres (9,10) communicate with detector units (13,14) outside the combustion chamber. The detector units convert the recorded radiation pulses to electrical signals which are taken up on a multi-channel transient recorder (21). The detector units are high frequency and incorporate a photo diode and an amplification circuit. - The detector units have their spectral sensitivity within a specific wavelength range for the frame being investigated. They consist of a p-i-n-photodiode, a wavelength filter and a photo-conductive amplification circuit. The photo diode has silicon as detector material.
