Abstract

The profile comprises an outwardly directed, U-shaped recess (2), laterally limited by two tongues (3,4), for coupling to a corresponding profile in another component. One tongue (4) has a pattern of points (5), cavities (6) and possibly barbs (7) different to the pattern of the other tongue (3). When coupled to a similar profile in another building component, the snap profile forms a snap lock.
