Abstract

A removal device for automatic removal of a milking unit from an animal's teats after finished milking, comprising a cord, which at its one end is connected to a coupling device (17), which has at least two releasably connectible coupling members (19, 20) adapted to be disconnected from each other if a particular tensile stress arises in the cord. The coupling members are arranged such that a milk claw connected to the cord is securely disconnected therefrom when said tensile stress arises in the cord.
