Abstract

The impeller comprises at least one cover disc (5) attached to a driving shaft (13). One or several vanes (6) are mounted on the disc and a central, axially directed inlet (4). The disc opposite this inlet is provided with balancing openings for reduction of the axial force that occurs during operation. The balancing openings are positioned in front of the leading edges of the vanes for letting the flow through the openings rinse the edges.
