Abstract

The potato chips are pretreated with deep frying fat and are placed in a container drum (5) with air permeable openings (4), which is drivably fitted internally in an oven (1) functioning with hot air, with the drum rotating axis (7) extending horizontally. - Along the periphery of the container drum at one gable periphery is a ring (20) with axially directed drivers (21) arranged to extend connected with the drum. A rotatably drive part has a number of pin-type drive components receivable in the space (24) between the drivers and is pref. permanently arranged internally in the oven space (3) in the area of an oven sidewall.
