Abstract

The present invention concerns an assembly and a method for mounting an angled union. The assembly comprises an angled union (10) having a threaded section (28) extending to the room-side of the inner wall (2) and an angled section (25) remaining to the core-side of the inner wall (2), a coupling (15) of the angled section (25) of the angled union (10), said coupling facilitating the connection of a supply water pipe (4), and a recess box (1) which encloses said angled section (25) of said angled union (10) in an essentially splash-proof manner, and a coupling (3) of the recess box (1) of the angled union, said coupling enclosing said supply water pipe (4) and to which the protective tube of the supply water pipe (4) can be connected. According to the invention, the angled union (10) is solely mounted to the inner wall (2) and the protective tube (5) of the supply water pipe (4), whereby the recess box (1) of the angled union is detached from the angled union (10) and the stresses imposed therefrom. The implementation in accordance with the invention makes it possible to fabricate a lightweight recess box (1) of the angled union.
