Abstract

By activation from an animal, which pushes its neck into the opened ring (8), the ring is freed from the extensions and thereby closes around the neck of the animal. The opened ring is liberated by the neck of the animal making contact with it, drawing it loose from the extensions. - The device incorporates a detection unit (19) which detects the animal which is ready to receive a neck ring and activates a light-producing device. The ring is of elastic material, with light-reflecting material on its outside. Animals already supplied with neck rings are detected, and to prevent them receiving further rings they are dispersed by a sound signal.
