Abstract

The bottom piece (1) is used in an outer door (2) includes a locating surface for the door lower edge area and which is produced on a spring-activated rail (8), which in an upper position forms a support for the door, and which can be pressed towards a lower position in the bottom piece, eg. for the passage of a wheelchair. The bottom piece has a flat surface from an external surface coating (12) to an internal surface coating (13), when the rail (8) is in the lower position. - The locating surface comprises a side piece (11) on the rail, which has a rectangular cross-section, and which is fitted in a vertical groove (7), which has a width corresp. to that of the rail. The rail is guided on two or more vertical guide pins (9), fitted in the groove between its ends. The rail at each end has an extending pin which slides in a recess formed in an end guide releasably fitted in each of the door side frames. The vertical groove (7) is provided with drainage apertures (24), which via the bottom piece outer part (3) leads water out into the environment (4).
