Abstract

The invention relates to an apparatus in ventilation heat exchangers intended, in the ventilation of buildings, to transfer heat from the warm exhaust air to the cool incoming air, said exchanger (1) including at least one heat accumulator (2), through which air flows, at least one fan unit (8) with control means (9) and at least one air duct (7) connecting said accumulator and fan unit, which is adapted such that on actuation by the control means it alternatingly extracts and supplies air for ventilation of a building or a room thereof. The heat accumulator (2) includes a porous, heat-absorbing material, having a large contact surface but small mass and preferably the configuration of a slab-like body (5), which is situated between the fan unit (8) and the space to be ventilated, where the plane of extension of the body perpendicular to the direction of air flow is enclosed directly by the inner wall (15) of the air duct (7) or in a casing (4) between two perforated cover plates (10, 11), of which the plate (10) faces towards the ventilated space and the plate (11) facing towards the duct (7), having its entire surface in communication with this duct via at least one air duct (6) extending between the plate (11) and the back (12) of the casing (4).
