Abstract

The instrument consists of a hydraulic cylinder 10 which returns automatically to its rest position when not under pressure and has a manoeuvring valve 13 which can subject the hydraulic cylinder 10 to pressure only on positive actuation of the manoeuvring member of the valve 13, and a traction bar 18 which can be screwed securely to the upper end of the traction bar of the earth anchor and which is intended to be provided with an upper counter member 19, 20 for engagement with the upper end of the tubular piston rod 21 of the hydraulic cylinder 10, when this rod is engaged on the traction bar 18 of the instrument. <IMAGE>
