Abstract
Motor vehicle gear box with a transmission (7, 8, 11) between the engine clutch (4, 5) and the input shaft (9) of the gear box for mounting the gear box beside the engine in vehicle installations with transverse engine. In order to compensate for the increased moment of inertia caused by the transmission on the input side, the ordinary synchronizing system of the gear box is supplemented with an auxiliary synchronizing system (60-70).
