Abstract
The detectors or cameras (1,11,12) each have a very narrow field of vision in the conveyor movement direction and a large field of vision at right-angles to this direction. For measurement of the distance to the object surface, one or more light sources are used in line or point projection, with their radiation path in the same plane as the camera fan-shaped field of vision.
