Abstract

A stand suitable for supporting a television set with a video recorder comprises a base 30 and two supports 32, 33. The base may be a die cast aluminium frame 39 around a steel plate 31 which is bonded along its edges to the frame. The plate acts as a reinforcement to strengthen the frame and forms a shelf on which e.g. a video recorder can be stood. The supports 32, 33 are fixed into the base 30 and form a cantilever arrangement for supporting the television set. <IMAGE>
