Abstract

The invention relates to a shelf stand with sidewalls (1) and movable shelves (7), which are supported by support means (2) secured to the sidewalls, which support means have binding means (5) protruding into corresponding recesses (8) made in the under sides of the shelves. Each support means (2) is designed like a screw provided with a countersunk head (5) and a cylindrical shoulder (4) with a smaller diameter than that of the head between said head and a threaded portion (3) of the support means, but with larger diameter than that of the threaded portion (3). Each recess is designed like a milled-out portion made in the under side of the shelves (7) by a milling tool having substantially the same contour as the shoulder (4) and head (5) of the support means. The countersunk cone portion of the head (5) forces the corresponding conical portion of the milled-out portion, and, consequently, the end surface of the shelf against the sidewall when the shelf is forced down on the support means.
