Abstract

The present invention relates to an arrangement (1) for a helmet (2), which is formed from an internal shell (3) made of a foamed plastic material and an outer casing (5) made of a harder plastic material covering said shell (3), and with retaining straps (6, 7) arranged attached to the helmet (2). In accordance with the invention, the outer casing (5) exhibits an attachment flange (10) extending internally around its periphery, which flange is so arranged, with the outer casing (5) of the helmet placed on the shell (3) of the helmet, as to interact with said shell (3) of the helmet for the purpose of securing the outer casing to the shell of the helmet, and with retaining straps (6, 7) attached to the shell (3) of the helmet. The invention also relates to a method for constructing the helmet.
