Abstract

System includes a hot water generator with upper, intermediate and lower tanks. The upper tank has a heating chamber in its middle region in communication with a combustion chamber located in the lower tank. A duct removes fumes. The intermediate tank has a heating chamber in its middle region also in communication with the combustion chamber. The lower tank includes the combustion chamber in its middle region and two garbage inlets. The tanks interconnect via the heating chambers., A steriliser is located in the heating chambers in the upper and intermediate tanks,. Water from the upper tank is introduced and is heated to a sterilisation temp. Large garbage is introduced through an inlet (14) and smaller pieces through a tiltable chute (17). This is burned in combustion chamber (13) to generate heat with which water in upper (2), intermediate (9) and lower (12) tanks is heated. Pref. the water is prewarmed using a solar heater (32). The hot water from the upper tank is delivered to a sterilising chamber (34) where it is held at a predetermined temp. measured by sensors (42) for a time necessary for complete sterilisation.
