Abstract

Method for sealing leakage between a drive device sleeve 3 arranged around a hole in a reactor tank wall 2 and a drive device housing 1 running through the drive device sleeve 3 and the tank wall 2. According to the invention, the drive device housing 1 is cut off outside the tank wall 2 and a groove 7 is made on the outside of the reactor tank in the tank wall 2 around the drive device housing 1 so that the wall of the groove 7 will be constituted by the drive device housing 1. A sealing ring 8 for sealing between the tank wall 2 and the drive device housing 1 is introduced into the groove 7. An annular, axially expandable arrangement 9 is then mounted around the drive device housing 1 and is guided into such a position that the sealing ring is sealingly pressed into the groove 7. In this position, the arrangement 9 is locked by a locking ring 10 mounted around the drive device housing 1. Finally, the drive device housing 1 is jointed together. <IMAGE>
