Abstract

A winch device which can easily be applied for widely differing purposes in temporary work situations comprises an elongated upright 10 having a fastening member 11 at its one end 101 and a windlass 12 at its remaining end 102. The fastening member 11 interacts with a second fastening member 21 which is displaceable along the upright 10 and by which the upright is fastened to, for example, a frame or beam. Rotatably disposed at the remaining end 102 of the upright there is a supporting leg 13, the length of which is somewhat greater than the length of the upright and the free end 131 of which has a supporting member in the form of a round stave. Between the supporting leg 13 and the movable fastening member 21 there is a chain 23 of a length which is adaptable to each winching situation. <IMAGE>
