Abstract

An assault-protection device for the driver of a bus is configured with a high gate 3 which can be swung between a first position, in which it protects the driver at the same time as it is possible for the passengers to move unhindered along the centre aisle 5 of the bus as they embark and disembark through the front door 7 of the bus, and a second position, in which its extends transversely to the centre aisle 5 and prevents passengers from reaching the driver.
