Abstract

A filtration and/or diffusion device is described comprising a bundle (2) of hollow fibers arranged longitudinally in a housing (3) with the fiber ends embedded in two end walls (4), at least one lid (6) being attached to one end of the housing (3) and having an inlet and/or outlet (7) for a fluid intended to flow through the hollow fibers of the bundle (2). The device is characterized in that at least one of said end walls (4) extends out beyond of the housing (3) into said lid (6) and is surrounded by a sealing ring (5) of a resilient material, which is compressed between the periphery of said end wall (4) and two preferably parallel sealing surfaces (11, 12), providing a seal between the housing (3) and the lid (6). The device described is preferably intended to be used for dialysis, hemofiltration or hemodiafiltration.
