Abstract

An insecticidal composition and a method of controlling pernicious animals and insects on plants are described. The insecticidal composition comprises, as the active component, a combination of a dihydric or polyhydric alcohol and a film-forming agent. Where appropriate, the composition also contains carriers and/or nutrients. Pernicious animals and insects on plants are controlled by an aqueous solution of the insecticidal composition being applied to the plants.
