Abstract

A cabinet 1 has, in a plan view, the shape of a rectangle of which the length is equal to twice the width. The cabinet 1 has, on one long side 6, a wall section 7 which extends from one short side 8 of the cabinet and whose width is equal to the width of the rectangle, and a door 9. The cabinet 1 has a horizontal shelf which consists of two panels 13, 14 which are essentially in the shape of quarter circles and whose radii are essentially equal to the width of the rectangle. One panel 13 can be pivoted about a vertical axis, which is situated at the corner between the said one long side 6 and the other short side 10 of the cabinet 1, between a pushed-in position and a position which is turned about 180 degree in relation to the pushed-in position and in which the panel 13 is located outside the cabinet. The other panel 14 can be pivoted about a vertical axis which is situated at the side edge 7' of the wall section 7, between a pushed-in position and a pulled-out position in which at least the greater part of the panel 14 is situated outside the cabinet. <IMAGE>
