Abstract

The device includes a set of test gauges containing pictures and/or text with varying and physically well-defined picture qualities for direct reading of physical measurement results as well as the corresponding subjective expression of the picture or the text with respect to picture quality. The test gauges depending on the field of application are produced with photographical, optical, electro-optical or electronic display media and with corresponding production techniques including screening. The test gauges are photographically produced prints depicting the picture of the display media under test.
