Abstract

The base material on which the applicator rests can e.g. be printing paper, and viscous sample material (9) is applied to the base material with a constant thickness (10) where both gables rest against the base. The beam (3) between the gables inclines so that if required a layer of different thickness can be produced across the applied material. The beam also has narrow tracks or deepened formations in its surface which between the gables form an opening for the viscous material, the tracks running in the same direction as that of viscous material application. The beam can alternatively have small raised formations in its surface forming the opening for application of viscous material. It also takes the form of a polygon with flattened corners, eccentrically fitted between the two gables.
