Abstract

The unit is fitted to a land vehicle, and can be made to work in selected sectors and at requisite heights above the ground surface, at ground level, and even beneath the top surface of the soil. The clearance tools (3) are so constructed that their peripheral speed is sufficiently high that release mechanism in unexploded ammunition encountered is destroyed simultaneously with the ammunition being thrown to one side. - The unit comprises a clearance unit (1) with tools, a rotator (2), a ground level monitor (4), support arms (5,6) a system for selection of ground sectors (7), a vertical movement system, together with drives, transmission, connectors, optional tools, and a winch.
