Abstract

The heat insulation material consists of polyester wadding, which is pref. combined with compressed stabilising amalgamated fibres. The length of the fibres can be up to 50 - 70 mm., and the proportion between stacked and amalgamated fibres can vary within wide limits, but a typical ratio is 75/25. - For ease of handling and transport, storage, installation and removal, it is appropriate for the polyester wadding to be formed into plates with different shapes and thicknesses. In this way, the wadding can be more solidly packed on the plate side surfaces than in the core, thus rendering the plates more rigid.
