Abstract

A collapsible stand on which to hang bags or sacks, which are preferably made of plastic, must be easy to handle and take up a minimum amount of space. In order to allow the stand to deployed and collapsed in a simple manner without adversely affecting the stand's stability, the stand 1 has two side parts 3 and 4 located opposite each other, with two short sides 3a, 3b and 4a, 4b, and two long sides 3c, 3d and 4c, 4d, respectively. The side parts 3, 4 are connected to each other at one long side 3c, 4c via a coupling arrangement 5 connected rotatably to the respective long side 3c, 4c, and at their other long side 3d, 4d they can be coupled to each other via a locking arrangement 8 arranged releasably in a securing member 6, 7 on the respective other long side 3d, 4d. The said side parts 3, 4 and/or the coupling arrangement 5 and the locking arrangement 8 are designed in such a way that the stand 1, when deployed, forms a four-sided structure narrowing towards the top and open at the top, in which structure a bag or sack 2 can be hung by means of a part 2a, which forms the opening of the bag or sack 2, being folded over the upper short side 3a, 4a of the said side parts 3, 4. <IMAGE>
