Abstract
A power rectifier installation comprises at least one transformer TR and two direct-current series-connected power bridges, controlled by equipment K which generates open and close impulses to the transistors. One of the power rectifiers so formed, a, is fixed power and mains commutated while the other, b, is fixed voltage and forced commutated and contains transistors which can be turned off. It is controlled preferably by e.g. pulse- width-modulated commutating so that the ratio between the voltage of the power bridge and the alternating voltage of the power rectifier can be varied, and has usually a lower rated voltage than the first, a. In order to obtain a minimal type effect on the mains winding of the power rectifier's alternating current and optimal ratio with regard to output overtones, windings are arranged suitably for each alternating current phase for the two rectifier bridges on the same transformer leg with windings to the fixed current rectifier bridge placed between the second winding and the mains winding. <IMAGE>
