Abstract

The invention concerns a connection device intended for mechanical transmission of sound to the skull of a person with impaired hearing. Currently known connection devices have disadvantages such as instability in the axial plane which is important for the connection element, a fixed position in the radial plane which makes use more difficult and impairs use, complicated design which is expensive to manufacture, difficult to clean, indefinable vibration transmission surfaces, components made of plastic and rubber which wear out and result in a short functional life and a requirement for spare parts. The invention solves these disadvantages by achieving in the axial plane a self-locking connection unit consisting of only two rotation-symmetrical connection elements, for example of titanium and stainless steel, which are reasonably unaffected by wear and tear, perspiration, sebum, hair chemicals - and which can be assembled with a simple pressing together in any position along the radial plane and then provides a stable vibration transmission surface in both directions axially (in and out). <IMAGE>
