Abstract
In a flowmeter 101 working on the Coriolis principle, measuring-tube bight portions 111, 112 are excited into oscillation at the n<th> natural frequency. The bight portions are so arranged that their (n + 1)<th> natural frequency lies in the range of 0.7 fn to 1.5 fn but outside of resonance caused by the first natural frequency. In particular, the length of the measuring-tube bight portions 111, 112 can be at least 6 times their height. In that way the sensitivity of the flowmeter can be improved. A plurality of exciters and sensors are positioned along the tube R, which is of continuous construction. <IMAGE>
