Abstract

A joint structure has a clamp (6) manually operated by an activating member (7). A yoke-shaped holder (8) is movably mounted in a recess (9) formed in the load carrier support (2). The holder contains the actuating member and allows it to pivot. - A load carrying beam (5) is secured to the holder by clamping movement of the actuator member in one direction causes the clamp to close and grip the vehicle mounted support rail, and causes the load-carrying beam to be simultaneously clamped to its support.
