Abstract

A steering wheel with an air bag device, so-called SRS-unit, which is joined to the steering wheel (1) via flat metal bars (11), which are fixed to the steering wheel hub (6) and are pre-bent to be deformed in a controlled manner and permit displacement of the air bag device (10) relative to the steering wheel upon driver impact.
