Abstract

The beam structure comprises a support element provided with a filling of insulation material, a superstructure located on top of the support element, and a substructure suspended from the support element. To considerably improve the airborne sound insulation and impact sound insulation in such beam structures, the superstructure 4 comprises an underfloor 5 and a top floor 6 which each have a pressure distribution layer 10, 12, respectively, of acoustically sound panels, and, like the substructure 14, an elastic layer 9, 17 of insulation material which has a density several times greater than the insulation material of the support element. The elastic layer 9 of the superstructure forms part of the underfloor 5 between a secondary spaced panel 7 and the pressure distribution layer 10 of the underfloor, while the elastic insulating layer 17 of the substructure is arranged in direct contact with the support element insulation 18 and is carried by a gypsum layer 15 which is suspended on the support element 1 by means of steel rules 16 with a Z- shaped profile in cross section with comparatively wide upper flange 20 with which each steel rule 16 is secured to the support element 1 with securing members 21 situated at such a distance from the web 23 of the respective steel rule that the upper flange 20 of each steel rule is allowed to spring out from the underside of the support element by the load generated by the substucture 14. <IMAGE>
