Abstract

A slot machine used for selling individual, non-round articles in portions and comprising a magazine (10) and, positioned under this, portion-dispensing members (26-28). These are driven by means of a rotary motor (20) activated by an accepted payment. The portion-dispensing members (26-28) comprise an upper, circular magazine base (27) which is turned by the rotary motor (20) and which has at least one essentially vertically, downward-directed dispensing chamber (28). This chamber (28) is designed, during a turning procedure, to be displaced together with an opening in the magazine base (27) in underneath a screed plate (29) which is mounted flexibly at a certain distance above the said base and which screens off a section of the said base. Moreover, the portion-dispensing members comprise a screening plate (26) which seals off the dispensing chamber (28) during the main part of a dispensing procedure, and which has a dispensing opening (31) through which a portion article present in the dispensing chamber can pass at the end of a dispensing procedure.
