Abstract

The high pressure side of the compressor (1) is connected to the lowest point of the container (13) to be emptied, whilst its low pressure side is connected via a fluid separator (5) to the upper part of the container (14) to which the liq. is to be transferred. By-pass connections (2,3) are each provided with a cut-off valve (2.1, 3.1) from the compressor high pressure side to its low pressure side. Emptying takes place by the container involved firstly being pressurised by the compressor and the valves in the by-pass connections being wholly or partly closed. Emptying occurs thus via the by-pass connections, with the compressor switched off and the valves in the by-pass connections open. The process is repeated until the container is emptied.
