Abstract

A window having a transparent pane (3) and provided for separating an inner space from the outer surrounding. The pane (3) comprises a supporting base layer (7) of a material being radiation absorbing and transparent, such as glass, which includes particles delimiting the transmission of radiation through the material. At one side of said layer there is a layer (8) composed of a film of the type having a low thermal emission. This composition of layers provides for a larger ability to inhibit the transmission of radiation when the radiation comes from that side on which the absorbing layer (7) is positioned, than when the radiation comes from the opposite side.
