Abstract

An emptying device is set up for a belt conveyor, the belt 1 of which, at the emptying point, has side sections 3 directed essentially upwards from a base section 2. The emptying device comprises a plate 26, which juts obliquely downwards between the side sections 3 of the belt 1 and counter to the motional direction of the belt and on which the transported material, through its motion, is displaced and lifted up over the belt. The emptying device further has a scraper conveyor 35-39 for lateral feeding of the hoisted material away from the belt to a receiver situated beside the belt conveyor. <IMAGE>
