Abstract

The invention relates to a method of indicating the presence and identifying concealed minerals and/or deposits in prospecting, solid or liquid particles transported by a free carrier gas rising through the ground being separated and collected using adsorption techniques, and the collected particles being analysed for the purpose of determining the quantity of collected particles and identifying minerals and/or deposits. The invention is characterized in that, for the adsorption, use is made of a collector with a plane and smooth surface, in that the collector with the collected particles is placed in an X-ray analysis arrangement and in that X-radiation is during analysis made to fall on the collector surface at such a small angle that total reflection takes place. <IMAGE>
