Abstract

Gripping device, intended to be releasably fastened to a car belt 6 between the upper fastening point or break point 4 in a vehicle and a part 5 of the lock for the belt, which part is fixed to the belt, at an angle to the belt and comprising a handle section 1 and a fastening section 7, configured in one piece. The innovative aspect of the invention is that the gripping device is produced from dimensionally stable, elastic material, preferably a thermoplastic material, and that the fastening section 7 is arranged to enclose a section of the belt 6 and is displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the belt 6 and is brought into frictional engagement with the belt, the configuration of the fastening section 7 determining the friction force between the fastening section 7 and the belt 6 and the friction force being arranged to be no more than sufficiently high to support the gripping device. <IMAGE>
