Abstract

The window can function as an additional window which complements an already existing window or it can form a separate window. First profile parts 3, 4 form casement parts for the window 1, and U-shaped second profile parts 5, 6, 7, 8 are engaged over edges of the window pane 2, with insulating material lying between them, and form a frame. On at least two of the opposite sides of the window, U-shaped third profile parts 9, 10 are engaged and are arranged so as to be able to expand in relation to the corresponding second profile parts 5, 6 in the said frame. The third profile parts are arranged so that in their expanded positions they lock against the casement part/casement parts 3, 4, at the same time as they continue to bear the said corresponding second profiles 5, 6. <IMAGE>
